Add referral code to user profile???

So many people take every opportunity they can to throw their referral code up just on the off chance they will get something for free. Hell, the thread posted just before mine is complaining of this as well.

Why not make a profile field that will show up below your location on a post that includes your Tesla referral code? That way, if someone feels that you have been informative and helped with their purchase decision, they can use your referral code without it cluttering up the forums. Everyone would have the opportunity to have their code posted, but it wouldn't be showed down other members throats as another worthless post.

Seems like a win/win to me

There is a place for the code on the Profile page under the Information tab.
I wonder how useful that is though now since there are reports of codes only being used when a link is followed and no sales human is involved.

If I felt someone were that helpful I would PM them to thank them and ask for the code.
