Adding a tow package to a 2022 Model Y

I was hoping the one I picked up would have it but it doesn't. $1,300 is pretty steep. Paid about the same when I had the OEM one installed on a Range Rover Sport about 2 years ago.

awesome, and thank you TomB985! do you have some instructions on how to remove all the interior of a trunk to get to taillights, 2023 has carpets instead of plastic panels and so most of the online video instructions are no longer valid for 2023 hitch install. Thank you

I just picked up our Y, and created a service ticket. They have the estimate of $1300, but are also adding $172 in labor.. I was under the impression labor was included?

Yes, it is, but you’re trying to buy it the wrong way. I’ve seen a lot of confusion at the local service center level, so this doesn’t really surprise me.

You buy it from the Tesla Shop website for a flat $1,300. Labor is included. After you buy it on the website, you create a ticket to have it installed through your Tesla app.

They ended up responding that way as well. It's out of stock online, so they just price matched my estimate
