Adding subwoofer to base audio in model S - San diego

I am looking to add a subwoofer in my base audio Tesla Model S.

I wanted to check if anyone in SD area has done this & can provide some reference and cost they paid and what brand amp and subwoofer was used.

Oh you mean you have a 2017 S without premium sound? I have a 2017 with premium sound. What I would do is look at the shop manual. You should be able to identify the differences between the two configurations and just buy the additional/differing parts. I bet the harnesses are the same. I would be happy to verify part numbers and help identify parts as long as removing a panel was all that was involved. Well worth it! I have installed many a car stereo and this car with premium sound is superior to all of those including every other Tesla! in my opinion (despite many Model 3 owners making the same claim). I have always wanted to measure the response but never got around to it. The tricky part would be to verify that the only thing missing was the sub and an amp. You would want to make sure the response of the main amps and speakers was the same in both and the only difference was the addition of the sub.
