Hi Guys, I have just joined this forum & wondering if any other Adelaide owners are on here? I am a huge fan of these cars & would love to arrange a few meets to get the Adelaide Teslas together. I dont think there are many here yet. I have a Silver P85 & a new P85D arriving next week. Anyone that is serious about ordering one is welcome to contact me for a look at them.
I have an obsidian black S85. (Arrived june) and an 85D on the way (october) From what I can piece together there are maybe about a dozen in adelaide now, and it's growing.
It seems that our friends in SA love tesla's so much that they are not happy with just the one.... Pressure is on you now MHH to order another!
I think they are great! Gorgeous shape to look at. Im keen to get my P85D with Insane mode next week (White Pearl) & I have one ordered for Nov which will upgrade to Ludicrous Speed ( Metallic Blue) Be interesting to see how the dual motor ones feel. The P85 RWD one I am driving at moment is quite fun with the traction control off!
And you would think with that much dedication SA would get a supercharger or two....but nothing planned.
I'd rather have a couple between here and Melbourne than one in the city, but a CBD site would raise the profile
hear hear... I live in Melbourne but have family (in-laws) in Adelaide, so a supercharger at roughly 250km intervals along the Western Highway (e.g. Stawell ? and Bordertown/Keith ?) would make trips to dear old Adelaide possible.
It's a lot further to drive. Mind you with flights at less than $150 and a little over an hour, not sure that my tesla will ever see melbourne again.
Driving from Melbourne to Adelaide and vice versa is already possible if you have a 3 phase mobile charger (3rd party). There are three phase power outlets available on the route where you can charge up.
Good, I'm planning a trip there for the Tour Down Under in January. Where are the charge locations Tim? I'll be buying a cable from you before then obviously
Sorry Michael I should have been clearer. I meant that there would be three phase power outlets along the way but depending on where you wanted to stop you'd need to ask around, much like some of our other adventurers!
Just recieved a notification that my ordered late April 85D has gone into production, so hopefully we are a 2 tesla family early october! This one is black on black.
I have a brown 85. I have model x reservation but I'm not holding my breath. I would love to see a Tesla meet in Adelaide. Driving the dream.
The 85 is new to me since late October but it is actually a Feb 2015 delivery which used to belong to an Adelaide owner. I decided that given that I may be waiting 1-2 years for a model x I may as well be waiting in a model S. I think I am probably in a very small group of tesla drivers in a second hand tesla.
Wow! The years have flow by! I sold my P100D a few months ago and waiting for new S to arrive now. There must be dozens of Model S in Adelaide by now - anyone still on this forum in Adelaide?
