It depends which color I decide on.

Also... What's the range hit with the 19s?

Is there a verified photo of the Aeros with the covers off? And what did we see at the reveal, a lot of the wheels were not Aeros.... were these the Sports or 'naked' Aeros?

They're not covers. Those are the wheels.

And why do you think that's not a cover on the Aeros?

Because they patented a solid wheel, not a cover.

My linked thread above is supposed to be the Aeros without the covers. There have been many discussions that the Aeros are just covers. So, lets say, totally confused here now. :D

And the one the production 3's have appears to be number 3. That has to be a snap on cover. How do you remove the wheel?

I am definitely the minority here but I LOVE the aeros. I wanted to get black rims so that's a win. I want the most range out of my car so now I'm 2 for 2. Honestly if the sports were standard and the aeros were premium, I would pay the premium for the aeros. And no this is not a troll post haha

    Here's a monster thread from M3OC... Wheel/tyre discussion

As I said, this has been discussed for months, and I think the base wheels are not bad. The patent is on the covers and you can leave them on or remove them.

Point of order. When we're talking about a cover, are we talking about that cap for the centre part of the wheel? If so yes, that's a cover.

Nope. The whole surface of the wheel inside the tire.

The cover hides the entire outer surface of the underlining wheel, including the center hub. The 19" wheels have a center cap but the 18" wheels have a cover and the hub is visible when the covers are not installed.

I will probably buy the aero wheels, not because i like them more but because they are the cheaper option.

I wonder what they would look like if they color matched the car? Any photoshoppers want to give it a go?
