Hey Josh,

Put the VS03 on and they look awesome. Looks aggressive and stylish and the tinted face looks either black or silver depending on the angle or light. I couldn’t be more pleased with the final finish.

The only suggestion for people with the Performance Model 3 is to get some antiseize compound to put on the lip in the hub because it corrodes and I had to use a Scotchbrite pad to remove the rust so that I didn’t have to fight seating the wheel over the hub.

I’ll take some more pics when it’s sunny. I’ll probably take them off on Sunday and ceramic coat them with Cquartz for the wheels.
Looks nice. What size wheels (width, ratio, offsets) and tires?

A few more pics with a bit more lighting. It would be perfect if Tesla had another 3/4” of a drop.

Looking forward to more pics!! Helps to pass the time while I wait for my set to come in. Josh has the fitment specs on point! I second the anti seize. I put some on when I swapped to my winter set.

Thanks, right now it's winters, so 235/45/19 Pirelli Sottoezero iii's. I may go a bit wider for summers.

Thanks. I'm thinking of 245/40-19 for summer, or non-winter seasons. Was talking to Josh about not having the tires poke out too much as that will affect handling. Running Pirelli Sottozero S2 on my 18" OEM for the winter here in UT.

I was wrong on my winter's, they are 235/40/19. Pretty sure I'll go 245/40/19 for summer tires. Very minor difference in dimensions/speedo and should offer a bit more rim protection. I normally use Nokian Hakka's for winter. These Sottozero's aren't as grippy in the real nasty stuff, but I do like them better in every other situation and they still do quite well when coupled with Tesla's AWD. Pleasantly surprised at how well they corner and grip in wet and dry. Lower noise as well.

Yeah...that's why I went with Sottozeros. Even though Nokian Hakka R3, or the Michelin X-Ice, would do better in snow, I wanted tires that would do well in wet and dry during the winter here. Hopeful the combination of Sottozeros and TM3's AWD will be more than sufficient in snow. I hit the ski resort (about 25 minutes from my place) once every couple of weeks. The once I did it with the Sottozeros I didn't have any problem -- the car did get a little loose in the icy section, but was not unexpected. Have yet to drive it in real deep, wet snow. That might happen next week.

Anyone interested in buying a set of VS forged....plan for the longer end of estimated delivery time and maybe more. Might have been the end of year that added to the timeframe...but it’s been 7 weeks and my set is still a couple weeks out. It’s still winter so not a big deal for me. Glad I ordered them a bit early to hopefully ensure I have them by spring time. I’m sure it’ll be worth the wait though!
