Vendor Affordable Monoblock Forged! VS Forged Wheels

@Josh@GYW can you provide weight for each wheels from 18x8.5 on VS02 and VS08? Why weight is missing on your site?

Also which tire for stock 18 and 19 VS wheels would avoid curb rash so tire sticks out not the rim?

Each wheel is custom built for each specific car. Throw in variables such as diameter, width and offset....all of which can be custom ordered.....there is bound to be some variability...which is why they don’t list weights. BUT I agree.....a range would be nice lol.

Depending on what width wheel you go with....would effect what size tire.

Looking for 18inch 8.5 offset 35-40mm stock equivalent. Need weight and tire size that would avoid curb rash
For curb rash prevention only the width matters and the tire type. With an 8.5" width, stock 235mm tire is a little stretched so you will get road rash. 245 will have a more flat look and depending on the tire will be better against rash. Some tire brands have a special side wall that extends a little at the base to prevent rash. See: https://forum.mazda6club.com/attachments/3rd-gen/94201d1378322270-rim-guard-oem-tire-wheel2.jpg
255mm tire will go in the other direction towards a more bloated look and will protect more but won't look as good (in my opinion).

I think 245mm is the right size if paired with the right tire style.

Just received my set of Vertini VS08 19x9.5 +35 today and they each weigh 21 lbs exactly for anyone interested.

Post up pics!

I asked you to post up pics and I just realized I never posted pics on this thread lol.

Just got my Vertini VS08 Forged wheels installed at America's Tires in Campbell, CA. I gave them the pucks to use for lifting the car. At first they where clueless about how to use them until I showed them. They told me they have done Teslas before but they lifted them by the battery with a flat lift. I didn't want to take that chance and convinced them to do it with the pucks. They had to use special low profile jacks because there was not enough clearance with the pucks.

I got the Michelin Sport A/S 3+ (Extreme all season performance). I think this is a great compromise tire for those who want performance yet a bit more longevity than the PS4S. They grip almost as good as the PS4S but have a much better tred ware rating of 500 as opposed to the 200 of the PS4S. Also notice the awesome extended lip these tires have for road rash rim protection.

When it comes to grip, I think the extra 30mm of tire width from stock make up for slightly more stiff rubber compound when compared to the stock PS4S that performance models come with. These tires are slightly more noisy than the stock but I was expecting that knowing that these would not have the sound deadening foam and have a larger surface area touching the road. Surprisingly I expected them to be louder. The difference is minor.

Finished product. I know the car is dirty and needs to be lowered. I am still waiting for the back ordered MPP sport coil-overs to come from Germany.

Here we can see there is a slight poke in the front and perfectly flush in the rear. The poke in the front is not too much to be distracting but looks aggressive. This was expected with the 19 x 9.5 +35 wheel but there is no rubbing of any kind. This after much research I think is the best compromise if you want the best all around street performance with a square setup which give you the best neutral handling handling. Any wider and you would rub or poke too much.

I know I am bucking the trend with light silver wheels but I despise the current fad of black/dark wheels. I think it takes away from seeing the beautiful lines of a well designed wheel.

This finish is called satin machine face with metallic silver windows. Very uncommon these days but complements a dark colored car like black or MSM very well. This is the only place on the net you'll see this finish on a VS08.

I have a 235 in a Dunlop with a lip protector. You don’t “need” a 245 but do some shopping to find the tires that do.

What lug nuts are you running? Do they come a tad shorter or with closed ends?
The lugs are these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007ITWANQ

And matching locks are these:
https://www.amazon.com/Monster-Lug-33002S-Silver-Locking/dp/B00AKFBK0Y/

They also sell caps separately if you don't like that open ended race look. Could only find a link for black on Amazon but you can get them elsewhere in all different colors:
https://www.amazon.com/Monster-Lug-33007B-Black-Cover/dp/B00AKFBHI4/

The manufacturer and all available options:
Mackin Industries » Monster Lug

Sometimes you can find them cheaper on e-bay.

What I like about these is that they are made of strong treated steel unlike some knockoffs that are aluminum and strip easy. They have a narrow profile so that they fit aftermarket wheels with narrow deep holes without needing to file your socket. They come in Tesla's lug spec, have long thread for full grip, have many finishes available, and have matching locks available in all their finishes.

Thanks! Somehow this brand never came up on my numerous searches.

There's one Amazon review where buyer stated that the packaging indicated a max torque rating of 95 lb/ft only, so they returned it. Can you confirm?
