It's his usual daily driver, so I guess that explains the need for repairs. But I thought it would hold up better. It needs: Numerous paint touch ups on front and rear end; New windshield and pano glass; New nose cone; New headlights; and Refinish wheels. Theres probably more I'm forgetting. At this point, probably cheaper to just buy him a new one. Here's a pic:
Probably cheaper, but definitely harder to find a new one... I'm ALWAYS going through the Hot Wheels and Matchbox displays at most stores we visit that stock them... ...still looking for the Model X one.
It's not easy to get that body color nose cone. I think I saw someone offering it in the aftermarket...
I would definitely file an insurance claim, under the under-insured motorist, and since he is a minor I would go after the parents.. ha ha ha..
Okay, I know this is modern day America, and I realize that these days the only way anything gets decided is a lawsuit. But I still think that suing yourself might be going overboard...
Now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure my wife has encouraged him to be reckless with it. Drawing up lawsuit papers tomorrow. Thanks for the help.
I heard the Autopilot on that thing is defective too and Hot Wheels MegaCruise is going to put it to shame in late 2018.
Great post @Boourns, looking at pristine shape of his collection, its obviously the favored ride. Maybe your son deserves a Radio Flyer version now?
Was gonna trade it in to Tesla but they low balled me. I paid 130 cents for this car and I couldn't believe it when they offered less than 90. Depreciation on the S is ridiculous.
