Finally put together after nearly a year of chasing my own tail... couple of quick photos.

Looks beautiful. What kind of coating do you have on the paint. The gloss and color look amazing. -thanks
 
whats the range impact of those?

Compared to the stock wheels and tires I'll never know. I have less than 1000 miles on the car and not nearly enough driving consistency to make a useful comparison.

Grip and handling I'll be happy to talk about once these break in a bit. :D
@Candleflame After some more driving I'm going to guess my efficiency / range went up slightly. I am getting closer to EPA rated efficiency without trying on longer drives (mix of highway and twisty 2 lane roads). But not a controlled experiment at all...weather, laden vehicle weight, my lead foot, etc are all variables that change constantly.

At the least, I'm pretty confident now I didn't lose any efficiency.

My best guess is still that any efficiency improvement is from the smaller, lighter wheels, as well as the resulting taller sidewall tires. The T-S5 wheels obviously aren't aero, but I think smaller diameter wheels + taller sidewalls is generally more aero than large wheels + short sidewalls (for the same wheel design).

Maybe the lighter weight of the new setup helps efficiency too on the twisty roads with frequent acceleration + regen/braking. I doubt the exact choice of tire helped at all though, I would not expect the Potenza Sport to be any more efficient than the PZ4 in the same size mounted on the same wheel. And I'm sure LRR tires + aero 18" wheels would still be more efficient than this setup. But I want grip, and I don't mind a little airflow reaching my brakes. :)

the 18" tires already have prestine grip.

got to test fit the track wheels today. 18x10.5+22.

They clear the MPP stoptech kit in the front, and the MPP "bbk" in the rear; I don't think they'll have wheel weight clearance issues, but will see once these get powdercoated/tires mounted.

Hopefully a fender roll and sporty camber fixes the front poke lol!

You’re gonna need to run -3 degree camber to make that fit. I’m assuming bagged fitment? I’m already at the limit with natural camber and no rubbing for static. Good luck dialing it in.

yea, I already have all the suspension/brake parts from MPP; think I was at -3.3camber before I raised the car a bit.

Will get wheels/tires cosmetically where I want them, then get fenders/alignment dialed in; trying to decide if I want to go with extended studs/spacers so the track wheels and DD aftermarket wheels sit similarly, but will see how these 18s look first...

Hopefully you went 40 series instead of 35, neither of those two sizes (275/35/18 nor 265/35/18) will likely be tall enough not to cause TC/ABS issues. You need 275/40/18 (26.7”) or 265/40/18 (26.3” tall).
Have you had this happen or seen it happen, or just repeating what you heard? I've seen people say there will be issues on this forum , but there are many are autocrossing on 25" 295/30/18s or 25.6" 275/35/18s who don't have problems.

Anyone know what wheel that is on the white car? I cant tell if its a Model Y or not. View attachment 757720
In the bottom right? Yes, it's a Y and it looks like the standard wheels. Compare it to the other white Tesla (the 3 between the two dark cars). The top of the trunk lid is much shorter on the Y (since it's a hatch, not a sedan) and the distance between the fog light and the headlight is taller on the Y than on the 3.
