Anyone have after market wheels on model Y configuration 255/40/20 front and 275/40/20 rear and see a significant decrease in mileage?

Need a bit more info, like are you SR, LR or Performance? What's your current wheel setup?

For example - I moved from the ultra-heavy 21" Uberturbines to a squared 20" Titan7 TD-6 setup with a square 275/40-20 setup. This sheds about ~70lbs unsprung weight and the car feels a bit more nimble with no noticeable hit in range. Then again, I do drive a bit aggressively when conditions permit.

I have the model Y long range And am running staggered configuration. I am running 9 AG M580-R 255/40/20 up front and 10.5 275/40/20 in the rear

Pretty much a wash when taking in the width differences from stock vs aftermarket, not accounting for aerodynamics. Other than aesthetics, I would say really there's no downsides, assuming the weights are relatively similar between your wheels and stock overall.

In the meantime, enjoy!

Tom,

It is good to see you here in the Y forums. I've taken my i3 to EAS in the past for the Range Extender unlock.

I was just wondering who will start to provide some good options for my Model Y. Those wheels are nice bits. Does EAS provide lowering services, or did you just fill the gap with more rubber? Nice stance

MYP is lowered on Ohlins DFV Coilovers, I got a bit in detail on our thread here: Vendor - eas | Southern California Tesla tuning source and daily showroom

The 20" Titan7 TD-6/Michelin PS4S keeps same OD as the 21" Uberturbine/Pirelli setup, this keeps the speedometer and likely any traction control variables in check. I've lowered it a bit more since the photos were taken, once I can get it washed - I'll post some more pics.

Would you be able to link where you got these rims and tires? Are these wheels all season? Since I'm in the Chicagoland area, I will need to replace the stock tires because of the winters here.

We are a Titan7 distributor as well as direct Michelin retailer - I can set you up with you a wheel/tire package when ready, including TPMS. I'm running the In California, we can run summer tires all year long, but you might be better off with a set of Michelin Pilot All Seasons. We're new in this forum, but have been fitting the Titan7s on BMWs for years - including our own track cars.

Hey Tom any idea what the loss could be coming from. I changed the computer to read the 20 inch induction wheels not sure if that had anything to do with it?

Don't think that affects any calibration - both wheel types are the same OD. Does reinstalling the OEM wheels give you the range back? This would limit the variables.

This sounds great! I'm guessing I would have to go to a shop to get these installed though right?

Resurrecting this, I am new to the aftermarket wheel game. Mind helping me with some basics? Does brand matter? Where is a good place to buy wheels for a reasonable price?

Thanks ahead of time

Anyone with Aodhan AFF7's? At this point I am inclined towards Aodhan AFF7's 20x10.5 ET35 with 275/40/20 as in my opinion it gives a good balance of price,
style, Single Phase Forging Construction, 24lbs per wheel etc.
Trying to get a sense of how well these wheels are made for a car of MYP's weight? Searching at various threads haven't seen many folks using this wheel.
I cant find much reviews about this outside of these forums too.
