Air suspension geo-fencing soon

A Tesla patent filled in early April hints at a probable new very nice feature: Air Suspension geo-fencing.

With manual entry of geo-fence limits and also voice recognition possible.

Hope we get this in 6.0 !

Nice! Also with Tesla's announcement about their patent policy today, it helps keep this type of feature available in all manufacturers future cars with out restriction.

I would REALLY appreciate this functionality, there are humongous speed bumps in my street, have to set high manually each time now...

awesome feature ... really hope they implement this ... when I set the Homelink the first time, I immediately thought: "I wish the air suspension would automatically adjust for the dip in my driveway"

How about also adding to the geofencing "If car leaves the geofencing area, make it stop" (with a warning).

That way, stolen cars, and cars in custody of 3rd party service centres and valet drivers will be limited in operation.

Also, combine it with a 30 mph limit, coupled with acceleration limit, somehow password/pin locked.

To go off topic for a moment--this is what's silly about where patents have gone. I don't know if one was granted in this case but it's a trivial extension of the geofencing concept with a workflow.

Back on topic--Glad to see that this enhancement may be in the works for a future firmware release.

I won't hold my breath. This suspension height geo-fencing feature was mentioned to me as a "coming soon" feature by my delivery specialist when I picked up my car at the Tesla Factory almost 1.5 years ago (February 2013). I originally mentioned it here.
