When will this Option be available?
Next year.....Sometime in 2019...Exact date unknown.
However it has just been reported that Tesla hit 200,000 in Q3 so the full $7500 tax credit expires Dec 31, 2018. Then drops to $3750, then $1875.
So you may want to weigh that against the cost of SAS.....basically having to add your Qtrs Tax Credit to the cost of SAS.
I’ll eventually spring for the Mountainpass coilovers. I’d rather get the tax credit than the SAS.
Is anyone else surprised that the original Performance Model 3's will have coil suspension?
Coil suspension is likely better handling, versus air suspension=smoother ride.
The disappointment for me is the P doesn't have magnetorheological shocks nor apparently any different sway bars- that would've probably been enough to upsell me to the P.... but just 1 second quicker software unlock for 11k? not so much.
