You said 20.7 did a factory reset - have you checked the sentry setting is as expected? If you were parked somewhere you usually part have you got favourites excluded? My case was not at home, sentry should have been on.
It would be impossible to maintain any software if undocumented changes were made to a device.I do wonder if sometimes they do updates on the background as I'm 2022.8.3 and this randomly started happening a few weeks ago, generally only one or two beeps. However have been on this version since march. Puzzling
This isn't the case. It just happens after your car is in deep sleep *plus* you open the driver door. If you open any others first it won't happen.Has anyone else noticed that it only ever happens at home and that only when it is parked at specific places on the driveway?

This happens on occasion with updates. Not necessarily wiping everything, but sometimes settings get reset. Always worth checking what they are even if you think you know what you set them to.FFS - yes of course sentry was disabled (along with nearly everything else). I still haven't go around to setting a PIN yet either.
The key factor seems to be if the car was asleep. People are mentioning it happening at home as this is the place that the car is most likely to sleep.I’ve been having this happen with my car for quite a while now. It used to happen pretty infrequently, but has certainly increased over the last few weeks.
This happens at home, but also when parked away from home. This also happens with all doors - not just driver door.
Has anyone found a fix, it is driving me madYes, it's very very annoying, it's only appeared a couple of days ago since the last update so I assume it's some bug in the software as the car's been fine for over 2 years. I believe several others have been experiencing the same problem.

I think it is the time betweenwhen the car unlocks due to proximity and when you open the door. If i approach the drivers directly door it is more likely to happen than if i walk around the car so it may be to do with how you park at home and how you approach the carHas anyone else noticed that it only ever happens at home and that only when it is parked at specific places on the driveway?
It can certainly happen anywhere, and I’m not convinced it has anything to do with the car sleeping. I’ve had the alarm go off on opening the driver’s door when it has only been closed for a couple of minutes. Not worrying because I’m trading in very shortly and it will be someone else’s problem!I think it is the time betweenwhen the car unlocks due to proximity and when you open the door. Tried many times and yes, seem is fixedIt's only been a few days, but 2022.24.6 seems to have fixed it by me (fingers crossed)
Yes I agree. Hasn’t happened since I updated to 2022.24.6True

Was absolutely the case. Presume sentry was on elsewhere so car isn’t sleepingI also have this issue but only on the drivers door. If I open any other door first, the alarm does not sound. Is this the same as anyone else. Also only happens at home.
Had a ranger visit today to fix a door seal problem and he confirmed that 2022.24.6 does fix the issue.Yes I agree. Hasn’t happened since I updated to 2022.24.6
The link above has discussion of the empirical circumstances that the alarm may trigger and how to avoid - assuming muscle memory does not override.
