Word from a source at the Minnesota FB group is power will be connected on Friday. Not sure when it will open as it needs to be inspected by Tesla.

Stopped by yesterday afternoon, the charge cable button was working and the car recognized it was plugged in but it wouldn't charge - very close!

I stopped by yesterday morning and one of the workers told me they just energized the transformer but it would be at least a week until it was live.

I could see it going either way honestly. it's not unheard of for Tesla to put SC's on the N/S and E/W routes through an area. So that would be the case for it staying...but then the old one is just that...old, and the new one is not that far out of the way if you're going E/W...so that could be the case for them closing it.

Calling the original Alert Lea location old is an understatement. It was just the 82nd supercharger location to open back in January 2014. It is definitely showing its age.

Stopped by yesterday afternoon and was approached by Dustin Trail who owns the place! He was just as curious as the rest of us about whether the stalls were on-line or not. "Tesla's not the best at communicating that kind of stuff to us." Super nice guy and I thanked him working to get these installed.

I topped out at 120kW starting at 35% SOC.

I’ve been burned a couple times recently at chargers that had been turned on and declared active
only to be turned off before my arrival because they weren’t officially certified yet. One took a couple weeks before real power was established. Fortunately, there’s a fallback nearby if this goes offline.

I stopped to charge at this SC twice over the past few days. Shows in navigation and car routes to the correct location, right off I-35. Great award-winning truck stop with lots of amenities including sit-down restaurant food. Charge topped out ~ 142 kW for me both times at ~ 15% SOC.

One spot ICE'd when signs weren't installed yet. When I returned a few days later, all the EV charging signs were up and no spots were ICE'd. Good site location I think since they're not too close to front doors so parking stalls are not super-convenient.

I stopped to charge Tuesday Sept 3rd, it was working fine. One other Tesla owner there.
I did a check-in on plugshare and uploaded a picture, later in the week the supercharger disappeared from plugshare. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The two chargers closest to the Interstate at Trail's Travel weren't working and there was no phone number.. does anyone know contact info to let them know?
