Yeah it'd be nice if Tesla supported this. Album artwork works fine in the car until it doesn't, and there doesn't appear to be a rhyme or reason when it just doesn't bother showing artwork. I can literally play the same song from one drive to the next, and it may show the artwork or it may not.
 
The album art will apparently be used from the phone in V10 if you have iOS 13 : New EAP v10 also has: rear cam for dashcam, BT audio shows artwork at 48KHz, more settings saved to driver profile. : teslamotors

Bluetooth audio now uses album art from the phone and can do audio at 48KHz (Requires iOS 13).

Now if they can add the countdown of time remaining for podcasts and music + get the track info on a separate line as ti always runs off the screen, that would be a good start.

In the newly updated v10 software, BT streaming audio album art will be displayed but the iphone has to be running on ios 13.
