Almost new Gen 3 wall charger with “bumps/lumps” in the 24’ cable

We replaced our six-year old Gen 1 wall charger last month and I just noticed the new Gen 3 cable has several raised lumps/bumps in it. Is this normal? We live in Phoenix area and are just getting our first cold snap (around 40 degrees) if that matters? (Our much heavier six-year old Gen 1 cable never showed any similar signs.)

@azred Which thread?? I am noticing bumps/lumps and my Gen 3 wall charger is only 3 wks old and barely used. Interested to understand the issue
