Aloha Stadium parking for EVs (park for free at Convention Center)

With football season starting, I was wondering what parking is like for EV's at Aloha Stadium? I read that they have a couple of charging stations, but do they honor the "free EV" state policy, and do they have EV specific spaces? I couldn't find any specific information on that.

I can say that EVs can park for free at the Convention Center. You just write EV and your license plate number on the back of the ticket. It has a couple of pay-to-charge stalls, too.

Mahalos!

I just went to the Glow Run tonight at the stadium. They saw my EV plate and let me in free of charge!

Here's the scoop from Wesley Ueda, Aloha Stadium Parking Supervisor:

We do have 2 spaces that are designated for the charging of electric vehicles. If both spaces are filled, we will accommodate up to 80 electric vehicles with free public parking. If you are coming to the stadium with a electric vehicle on a University of Hawaii Football game day. Our procedures are as follows: Please enter Gates 3 or 4 and park in the Upper or Lower Halawa lots. If you need to charge your vehicle, then you will need to be escorted to the designated charging area.

Went to the Pro Bowl yesterday..got there kinda late (around 2) after pre-partying...only to find out that there wasn't anymore free EV parking! The cutoff according to the stadium website is 80 EVs. Can't believe that there were THAT many EVs at the game...am wondering if the ticket lady just pocketed my $10
