When we click on an alert and go to a post in a thread, we are taken down into a thread, and we can't tell what forum we are in.

Is there a way to have the breadcrumbs for the forum that thread is in be always visible at the top of the page? For example:
Model X->Interior & Exterior (or) Model 3, etc.

When watching tons of forums and getting tons of alerts, it would cut out a lot of scrolling around to see exactly where the 'current' thread was posted so we have context.

Thanks!

The interesting thing about your suggestion, is that it had been suggested before... before the transition to the current format! We didn't get it then... doubt we'll get it now...

"No breadcrumbs for us!" :( (Think soup nazi!)

The previous software didn't an out of the box option for a sticky top bar. It wasn't something we could invest time in since we had to abandon that platform anyway. It did have breadcrumbs at the top of the page as we also have here, though. As far as putting breadcrumbs in the sticky top bar, we'd have to think about it. Needs to be done in a way that would make sense. Any change we make comes with a ton of complaints.

@boaterva, one suggestion I have is that the current software platform has the red up and down button on the lower right hand corner. This allows you to quickly page up to the top to read the title, then quickly page back down to the bottom.

Now I remember what many of us felt was a reasonable solution to the sticky breadcrumb idea. With the previous site you had to laboriously scroll up to see the thread title, then scroll back down trying to find the post you were last reading. This was why a group of us wanted the sticky "following" title. The red arrows on the lower hand corner made it a lot quicker and easier. Try it.

That's a good idea if you were at the bottom. :) Your alert may have been a significant number of posts up, but that may be workable. Thanks for the tip!
