Am I in Trouble or not?

Here's the situation:

I just got my very delayed Final Price Sheet today a few hours ago, and my delivery is tomorrow morning.
Then I went to the bank and made a Bank Draft with the exact amount.

Now here is the question, if i just go to the delivery centre and give them the bank draft, can they process the payment fast enough and release me the car?

BTW I'm in Toronto, I wonder if someone else has similar experience or know how this works.

Just give them the bank draft. That is all they need. Bank draft means that the money is guaranteed. When we picked up our car we did the same. We gave the the bank draft and they gave us the car.

My experience was similar; though I came in with two checks. One was a credit union check for the amount of my loan. The other check was a “certified” check from the same Crefit Union which were funds from my savings account. I don’t know if Canadian banking is much different from US regs and process; in the US a “certified” check is guaranteed by that bankk as H2O50 said. I presume the “Bank Draft” you refer to is the Canadian version of a “Certified “ check. Congrats on Delivery; you will love your M3. As of tomorrow I have mine for 2 months. It is a fantastic car!!!

I did the same thing. They asked me to give my bank a heads up so they didn’t put a stop hold on such a large check but otherwise it was no problem.
This is what was emailed to me :
You are paying for your Model 3 via Third Party Financing:

1. Payment is due upon or prior to delivery. You are responsible for ensuring Tesla receives payment. Payment for any amount not covered by financing can be made either by cashier’s check or electronic payment via your Tesla account.

2. For the financed portion of your payment, if your financial institution will be remitting payment via wire transfer or by mailing a cashier’s check – please ensure the funds are sent at least three business days prior to your delivery date. This will help ensure the funds have been received by Tesla in time for your scheduled delivery. You may also bring a physical check from your financial institution with you to your delivery appointment. Credit cards are not an acceptable form of payment.

3. Please note: Vehicles cannot be delivered until funds are received by Tesla.

There are 2 ways to pay for the vehicle.

1) Cashier’s check made out to Tesla, Inc. OR

2) ACH (electric debit) through the Tesla Account. You will enter in your banking and routing information. Payment must be made 48 prior to delivery to ensure it clears our account and to prevent any delivery delays.

**Your Tesla Account will updated 72 hours prior to your delivery appointment and will reflect the final amount due at delivery.

**If you are using a 3rd party bank, your Purchase Agreement will be emailed to you 72 hours prior to your delivery appointment. Your bank will need this to process the funds.

We look forward to seeing you.

I had my car for 3 days before Tesla received full payment. Of course, my delivery was a little different as I took possession in the parking lot of a bar. The delivery guy just handed over the keys and headed for the plane home. Alliant CU wasn't happy when they found out I had the car.neither was Tesla.

I received the same email and had the same concerns. I asked the delivery specialist if it was ok to bring a personalized check or if I needed a certified check and they said not to bother going to the bank. They were very accommodating (in fact, the employees almost seemed more excited for me to get my car than I was) but if you want to be sure, just call and ask.
