American Tax Payer Relief Act & Green Subsidies

There was no need to extend the $7,500 credit as it only expires when a certain volume of vehicles per manufacturer is reached. So, if it's not mentioned specifically in the bill, which it isn't, then it continues unchanged. I read somewhere that the infrastructure credit was retroactively renewed for 2012 and extended through 2014 but haven't verified that it's the case.

JohnQ is correct about the $7,500 tax credit for 4-wheeled vehicles. It expires on volume, not on time.

The extended EV credits were 30% for EVSEs, and 10% for 2-3 wheeled vehicles with at least 4kWh of battery that can go more than 45mph. Those are valid for 2013, and retroactive to cover 2012 purchases. Both of these had existed before, but expired at the end of 2011 (just as stuff was arriving!).

Of course this was all part of an enormous bill so Plug In America can't take credit for the thing passing. But we did spend a LOT of time making sure these were inserted with the rest of the extenders.
