I am, it's prevented at least one accident for me in the last 25. That's enough for me

I’m not so convinced that horns prevent many accidents

Rare, but there have been a few times over the years when it might have. The few accidents I have had would not have been prevented by a horn. Still, the other day, I was changing lanes on the freeway, moving into the left lane. I looked to my left, no one there, went to change lanes, and another car almost barreled into me. He honked, and I went back into my lane, possibly preventing the accident. I think he changed lanes at about the same time I did and floored it. Not responsible driving, but the horn might have prevented an accident at highway speeds.
