    This micro-grid is not going to support EVs as designed ;-)
    but I found it fascinating because
    1. Excess power is shunted to storage hot water
    2. The back-up generator supplies and protects the battery storage intelligently and automagically
    In broad outline this matches what I want from a home integrated into the a grid-tie system, but the utility acts as the generator on demand.
