Im a currently model x owner. It's funny how Musk has so many of these brilliant ideas but can't put a autosensoring wiper on the X after all this time.....my previous 2008 lexus had that....sigh.

My 2000 Merc E280T had it! No software involved. Just a sensor, a relay and a wiper.

I love Tesla, but I find it strange they didn't keep that old relay for just 1 year until they perfected the camera. Then they can just validate the camera against the oldschool relay for a few million km, then move all vehicles over when ready .

Tesla just upgraded their fleet a little while ago with automatic high beams. Sent it out as an over the air update for owners at no cost.

Maybe auto sensor wipers will be done the same way.
