Anderson A2 down again.

Still loving my A2 but it’s lost internet connection again - was an issue with Anderson servers a week or so ago - so, anyone else having the same problem this afternoon?

Yes, connection lost about an hour ago. Router still shows as connected but app shows “No Connection”.

Same issue here. Had an app notification the charger had lost cloud connection around 1pm. Tried a reboot but no joy. I can see the A2 on my network but looks like their servers must be down again. Seems to be becoming a regular occurrence recently

Looks like the same situation as last time then! Hopefully they’ll sort it out asap again. Problem is (and happened to me last time) if your car’s plugged in and waiting a scheduled charge to access cheaper electricity off peak tonight it’ll just start charging anyway as the schedule is held on the servers not on the charger itself.

They need to provide the option for local server support as this is plain stupid, they also intend to charge for this premium experience in the future!

Actually loaded the app by mistake and noticed it said No Connection, even though I could see it connected to my wireless router.

The fact it’s reliant on a cloud server(s) that appears to have dubious reliability is starting to concern me to be honest. I also didn’t realise until I read the above that the scheduled charging is dependant on these servers!

Insteon went down permanantly, cloud services should be a concern.

For my first 10 months it was flawless - but it’s gone down twice now in a number of weeks. Hopefully a one (or two) off!

It is supposed to go into charge mode after losing connection for more than 10m so anyone who has their car plugged in will start a charge, so at peak rates this could cost a fair bit more than a night charge!

I guess it would be possible to create the schedule with the car to get around that issue.

Looks like it may be working again - just tried and the app took about a minute to load but now showing as connected and scheduled charge planned as normal
