Maybe they'll announce they are ditching their DC standard for the Tesla plug
With Tesla's patents being open source I'd love to see that happen. :biggrin: (EDIT: I don't expect anything close to that to occur, it would just be awesome if it did.)

Just because they're sharing their patents doesn't mean they're sharing their proprietary designs. Quite the contrary.
True, I've updated my response as I don't (and never have) really expected anything like that to occur. According to the article the webcast is centered around (potential?) battery advancements discovered via computer-aided engineering.
