Annual Service, whats the deal?

So being a new owner of an MS, what happened to the minimal maintenance as compared to and ICE vehicle?? The are now charging $700+ for the annual maintenance which is about the same as my F250 with Ford. What the heck do they do? I also learned today that the 4-Wheel alignment is no longer included with the 25k mile Annual Maintenance. If the car needs a wheel alignment, it's another $150 on top of the Scheduled Maintenance charge. So, if there is SO much less that needs maintenance, what they heck are they doing?

Service costs absolutely need to come down. Out of warranty costs are also unacceptably high. $2500 to replace the on board charger, or $3000 to replace the 17" screen is absolutely unacceptable. If Tesla wants to tout EVs as requiring minimal service costs then they need to step up their game in this department.
