I don't understand the value in purchasing the Lectron 40A EVSE. Tesla already sells a Corded Mobile Connector with the 14-50 plug that charges at 40 amps instead of 32 amps as with the modular plug Mobile Connector. Either version of the Tesla Mobile Connector currently costs $200. The Tesla Corded Mobile Connector is frequently Out of Stock on the Tesla web site. The Tesla Corded Mobile Connector can be purchased from Tesla for less than half the price of the Lectron 40A EVSE.

Lectron is not following the J1772 stipulation that EVSE fitted with a NEMA 14-50 power plug must have a plug cord that is no more than 12" inches in length. Lectron is not the only seller of EVSE to do this. For safest operation the 14-50 plug cord needs to be very short. Also, you did not state the length of the charging cord. For maximum utility the charging cord should be 24 or 25 feet in length.

Lectron is an importer of EV charging cables, adapters and equipment. No doubt the Lectron 40A is made overseas, not in the US. You did not provide any information as to the Lectron limited warranty for the Lectron 40A.
