It seems like the Michelin Pilot Sport All Season is the go-to tire for anyone wanting a softer ride on the aftermarket 8.5x18inch rims that fit the MYP. I know the overall tire diameter is larger than stock but it seems like the Michelin LTX M/S2 265/60r18 might be worth considering?
I have replaced a variety of tires on my two F150s, Isuzu Trooper, Mitsubishi Montero and two 4runners and each time the LTX m/s made a noticeable improvement to the ride and handling of each vehicle. It is great in the wet and competent in snow and it seems to last forever. The tread wear rating is 70k miles but, now that I think about it, I have never had to replace an LTX m/s tire due to wear. And the big difference? How about $183/tire instead of $350-$400/tire? Any thoughts?
