I know. I’m still hoping against hope we 2020 models get a little more bump but I think it’s going to be the 2021’s. It’s how it happens. You buy when you buy and get what you get and you can’t look back and regret it. I guess you can but it won’t help.

Yeah, I thought this would be to open up the larger capacity of the new cells, but strangely it is called "efficiency package", so the name doesn't align with capacity, IMO. Guess we'll know soon enough.

I picked up my 2021 MY VIN 705XX last week, and it charges to 290 miles overnight each night. I just downloaded the newest software update, 2020.48.12628, and it still says v10.2 (2020.39.101.1), but now added Navigation data: NA-2020-48.12628. So not sure about that efficiency package.

It will require the new 5% more efficient 2170 Panasonic cells that the 2021 M3's got to bump MY's to 82 Kwh to achieve the larger range increase.

I got an upgrade yesterday saying my model Y performance now has increased range due to better efficiency.

I told it to charge the battery to 100% to see what my new range would be.

The car shows the same 309 mile range it showed before.

The MYP has a rating of 303 miles so you're range is better than listed.
