Settings -> Vehicle -> it will be to the right of "Headlights on Park"
If you have the right lights but no setting, then you need to do the following:
1. Have Tesla Engineering (just call customer support) enable the "curved lighting" option in your vehicle profile in their database
2. They will then push an OTA (not a firmware patch) to your car which will enable the setting
3. Take your car to the local SC and have them run a tool box body controller update
Then you will have working adaptive lights.
I had mine installed yesterday. They waited around 30 minutes after the install for an engineer to try to push the config change. But no one was available, so I had to drive it home. Later that day they remotely pushed the config change. I verified my car had the setting now. I put the car in drive, moved the wheel left and right, nothing. I rebooted the MCU, repeated test, nothing. I shut down the entire car for 5 minutes, repeated test, nothing. I called the service center and they claimed that the car must be moving at least 19-23 mph for them to turn on (?!?!!??), and said I should check on some roads at night to make sure, and that they would have some people working on the weekend in case it wasn't working.
I noticed this post after I verified they still aren't working even at speed, so I had to wait until today to contact them. I brought it by today with this information about the body control module needing updated. The lead tech checked it and said everything looks good to him -- the service advisor told me once again that, according to his knowledge, the latest firmware requires you to be at speed, and that it should push changes to the body control module, so everything should be working. I just tested it again and it's not working.... UGH.
Can anyone verify that indeed the adaptive lights turn on while just in drive, sitting still, with the latest firmware?
Can only confirm on a summer 2017 built Model S that when I'm backing out of my garage at night and turn around in my driveway, the sides that I'm turning towards light up, even if I'm not moving. Like the Bjorn video in his X, you can be stopped by the side of the road and turning the steering wheel full lock left and full lock right will illuminate to the sides. Again, it's not dramatic and not "amazing," but it does work (and has always worked) when stopped on our car when we first picked it up on .42 and now on 50.3...

I was scheduled to have mine installed yesterday, but the storm yesterday put paid to that and now my service date has been pushed back 2 weeks. I will definitely report back after it's done...
They're going to take a look at it on Thursday.
Service looked at it again and although the gateway sees the car as properly configured, the body control module still needs to be manually configured for it to work after the retrofit (as was done for @hulk2k17 ). The service center said there was no bulletin they could work off, so they are writing their own to put out there for other service centers.
When you get your retrofit done, they will need to physically install the lights (obviously), wait for an engineer from California to change the configuration of your car remotely. If there's not an engineer available at the time of your service, you can have it done remotely while the car is sitting around. Finally, the body control module needs to be manually reconfigured (do not let them tell you that it LOOKS okay, it is misleading). It is unknown to me whether this can be done before the config (I suspect not?). So, if you don't want to make two trips to the service center, you probably will want to ask for a loaner.
I had my lights replaced at the Palo Alto SC in early December for the same issue. There was an issue with the replacement, so Tesla replaced them again at the Fremont SC. It was a pain to get them enabled in the Controls and get them working as expected but the replacement process was fairly straight forward. If the executive team is reading this I had delivery at the end of Q3 2017 and I’m still without lights. Service Center states that have several customers with the same issue as me and there is a Service Bulletin coming out to correct the issue... This is the same response when I got when I took delivery. So when are we getting our lights retrofitted?

Just got mine swapped out. Make sure you check in the settings that the option is there. My dad didnt have it and basically ended up showing them the TMC post on how to enable the settings. Took them 15 minutes to do that.
