Jantzen Beach RV Park has changed their policy w/r/t electric cars. They are actively against such vehicles. "It's against what we do."

If I rent an RV and park it next to my car with the RV unplugged, they are fine.
If I don't rent an RV and park just my car by itself, that's apparently the end of the world and against their new policy.

This is a marked change from last year.

Fair warning -- don't waste your time with these folks.

Wow! I wonder what changed their position.

They should be free to run the business as they choose. But turning away a customer seems not in their best interest, since they could easily make money for the opportunity to charge an EV. Maybe some EV owner ruined it for the rest of us.

That's what I thought. Maybe some EV driver got in an argument with the owner about how much energy he used and how much they wanted to pay him.

With the rear seats down, the Model S makes for a pretty darn good camper. What if you told them it was your RV?

That is unfortunate. Pretty sure that they are getting a good deal in terms of $ paid vs. electrons used and wear and tear on the site. Maybe they don't need the business and feel like they are turning away RV's. I've heard that there are too few RV sites available these days for the number of RV's out there.

Politics is a good way to go out of business.

I wouldn't surprised if the real reason was mundane like their electrical system is flakey and can't handle 40A continous.
