Ordered a performance model 3 with FSD and white interior on Sunday. Advisor at the gallery said he thinks higher optioned cars are getting built quicker, as Tesla continues to push for profitability. If there any data based evidence of this?

    There’s no data.
Also, I doubt they are that organised.

I would say yes as Tesla really wants to make a profit. Though there are no $35,000 Model 3's being made, so all have a good profit.

I would also think that if you order something they already have built, it insta-matches with a very rapid delivery.

Yes and no. As much as they wanted to, the way they build in batches based on parts availability does not allow them to do it. Case in point they currently haven’t started producing P3D with performance upgrade package with black interior with whatever other stuff (EAP/ FSD). If they were producing based on higher margins these would’ve been coming out a while ago.

I would guess they are probably making more “new” cars for the higher opruins but I ordered a RWD with EAP and got a vin the next day.
