The alcantara trim in my car did not fit well from the factory. Had to have a few pieces replaced. My new P model the headliner fits much better so I did not bother swapping the alcantara into it even though its a more premium material. I chose fit over premium material.

I have two cars but have not taken apart the car with the newer material. I'll compare the headliners and let you know of the differences I find.
