Any issues with rolling blackouts and fires (So. Cal to Idaho trip)?

The wife and I will be traveling from So. Cal to Coeur d'Alene Idaho soon, and would like to know if there are any know issues with this trip due to the fires and rolling blackouts? Mostly along I5 through No.Cal.

can't speak for the 5 and nor cal, but why not just take the 15?

You may want to tske an extra day and go inland like to Vegas and head up, not looking good from what I see on the news, most of those areas are being evacuated.

that's why i asked about why he doesn't just take the 15. seems like a much safer route than trying to go through nor cal right now...

Checking alternate routes now. Fires everywhere. A little over 2 hours extra to go through Vegas (but may be my best choice), and desolate travel through Montana.

Other than gross smoky air there is no particular impact to travel right now on I-5 or I-80 east of Sacramento. Freeways are open and clear.

Great question! I am taking a road trip from NorCal to SoCal soon...was going to plan on stopping by the Tesla hub in Kettleman City to charge along the way...now I too am wondering about this! Our trip is planned for the week prior to Labor Day, so in just less than 2 weeks.
