Would have expected to hear something about 9.0 by now. Do we have ANY information about the next version of Tesla OS?

@FredLambert anything of interest you can bestow upon us from your sources?

I feel like the Mars landing might be first. That's all the talk now.

Personally, if there was an announcement, I wouldn't believe it. Wouldn't we have to get 8.0 before 9.0? We have not.

I've been wondering the same thing. Generally it's about this time of year that the major releases hit.

In the past whenever a .0 release has been made it's either September/October

    6.0 - September 14'
    7.0 - October 15'
    8.0 - September 16'
9.0 - Nothing happened in September, so I would expect October based on the pattern.

When exactly? Didn't Elon mention some extra stuff will be unveiled at the Semi-Event? Perhaps this could be it.

We're still waiting for the pushed-back semi event. I'm betting their "one more thing..." extra involves an update.

I would think there will be an update around time that model 3 really gets into public release and delivery

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking too.

I’m expecting to see EAP updates. Like Autosteer + and Auto Highway Exit. The stuff that is shown on the site under EAP features.

And we'll still have a place holder for contact photos rather than pics when we talk on the phone ....

I seriously doubt that Elon would actually do the "there's one more thing" thing.

Don’t hold your breath AP2 is still inferior and M3 doesn’t even have FM

That's why we are looking for the next update and FM is unrelated.

My guess would be lIke the iPhone and Windows, there will never be a 9, it will skip right to 10 for X-Mass only 5 users then mass roll out in early 2018. with a promise of 10.1 with parts of FSD summer 2018.

Maybe with 9.0 we'll finally see those browser speed updates that were suppose to come with 8.0. I definitely see it happening in six months

Let's also sadly note, that nobody is expecting to see any form of EAP functionality with 9.0....

I'm not sure what you mean there. Are there any plausible leaks of the 9.0 roadmap / functionality, or is this primarily referencing the disgruntled AP2 owner population who do not believe Tesla is going to make further progress on AP2 features?

I think they will make progress, I definitely do not think the platform is DOA. Now the rate of progress that's an entirely different ball of wax. Remember we were suppose to see some notable features in April, and here we are in Oct with not even a peep or notion of something "wow" coming.
