Haha, yeah 9.0 with another random pointless easter egg and "overall improvements" that nobody can actually verify or realize
You can install our site as a web app on your iOS device by utilizing the Add to Home Screen feature in Safari. Please see this thread for more details on this.

There is no need for a version 9 when a version 8.2 will suffice.
In the past whenever a .0 release has been made it's either September/October
6.0 - September 14'
7.0 - October 15'
8.0 - September 16'
9.0 - Nothing happened in September, so I would expect October based on the pattern.
When exactly? Didn't Elon mention some extra stuff will be unveiled at the Semi-Event? Perhaps this could be it.
I also expect some 8.2 or 9.0 announcement to be made at the Semi event.
Seems Elon has been told to stay quiet on Twitter lately since the "3 months, def 6 months". Wise call whoever made that call. Now that it's 10 months ago (optimist) me believe they will announce that the first FSD features will start rolling out now carefully. I believe even if the software is ready Elon was told to shut up, now it's not time for more promises, now it's time to over-deliver.
That's what pessimist me thinks. I really hope optimist me is correct .I dunno if he’s been told to stay quiet or if he just has nothing to announce right now.
Sorry, I was being facetious. Quite a few wonderful features were purported to be included in v8.0, but never materialized. When 8.0 as released, they were not there We were then told they would be in v8.1. We still have not seen them all. Hence, asking about 9.0 when we haven't yet seen the features that were originally indicated for 8.0 release seems to be skipping a beat.Sure we have.
Welcome.
We actually tried that once, see: Vote on software features/bugs to fix in 7.1 and beyond
Very few, it any, of the ideas, suggestions, or bug fixes got any attention from Tesla.
They clearly do not want, nor accept, feedback from users. Like Apple, they always know what's best for their users -- the users are too stupid to understand what they want, we have to dictate that to them. Yeah, we all wanted a massively buggy media player that doesn't have features my MP3 player had 15 years ago... and was a huge step backwards from earlier versions and had 10x more bugs.
but
4.0 - December '12
5.0 - August '13
does not fit the Sept / Oct theory
+ I think Tesla will just go to version XI
Still waiting on Elon's Linux Kernel Update
I thought it was the other way around...I thought only the instrument cluster got the "kernel update" but not the main touchscreen module.
