I took deliver yesterday in Costa Mesa. Overall it was smooth given how busy they were. I came 45 mins late and still only waited no more than 30 mins to get the car.

After 5mins with paperwork and quick tutorial, the representatives said I can park the car outside to inspect the car. It was a hot day and with no shade at the Costa Mesa delivery center, it made it difficult for me to do a thorough inspection. Found a small paint and the glove box wouldn't open. They brought the car to the back and fixed those issues within 30 mins. I found another paint issue afterwards, but by then I was so sweaty and hot parked right under the afternoon sun, I didn't bring it up to the reps. After getting home, I noticed the rear door seals didn't look all flush. Both issues I feel are fairly minor, just debating now if I should contact Tesla about it. Sitting under hot sun during inspect sort of made me wish this car has ventilated seats!

Overall, it's a fine car so far :)

Sounds like an interesting experience! Interested to hear how you handle the rear door seals.

What was your VIN#?? Mine is in the 39xxx range. I wonder if I will encounter the same door seal issue.

Totally worth the wait! Delivery was a cake-walk and the only issue I found with the car was a red mark on the material on the interior driver door. My delivery specialist got a wet rag and wiped it off clean.

I'd be lying if I said I was expecting a perfect car in terms of panel alignment and quality, but I did not find anything! Maybe I was just too excited.

Car drives like a dream. Can't wait to have more fun with it tonight and tomorrow.

Also, I received a die-cast model with my car as well. Terrific surprise!

Beautiful!! I got the same car as you last weekend. Looks as pretty as mine! Definitely everything and more!

Nice! Looks like the one I ordered on 7/21 in San Diego. I got the Aero wheels, however (looks like the car across the room in your picture!) I have not heard anything from Tesla and my Edit button is still there. Of course, it's only been 10 days. :)

I have read that orders that are for Cash are possibly getting fulfilled faster than outside financing. One question I have...If I am bringing a check from my Credit Union combined with a personal check for the full amount, isn't that considered cash to Tesla??

Yes, that is what I am doing myself. Have not had any issues. Perhaps it's some other backlog.

Did you choose Outside Financing or Cash? I currently have Outside financing, but considering changing it to cash.
I said cash initially, and then when they inquired, I told them I am bringing a cashiers check from a credit union, and the rest on a personal check. They updated online to reflect Financing: Credit Union (50k) and the rest was under: downpayment. Im scheduled to pick up on Friday morning.

I don’t think anyone knows for sure if financing vs cash matters in terms of order priority. What I do know is cash strictly means you are paying out of pocket I believe.

Sounds like if you choose cash and then tell them you are financing through CU anyway, they change it
