Any wheel alignment recommendations slightly out of recommended to improve high speed cruising stability? S75D

Hi all,

I'm interested in any input from those who may have some specialist knowledge of alignment.

When I got my 2018 75D it steered downright weirdly, turns out the front and rear axle settings were had been switched around at the last (incompetent) alignment. I've since had it done properly and everything is now very close to the exact centre of the range allowed by Tesla. As a result the car drives much better.

However... I still find the steering too twitchy and light feeling, especially at higher speeds and need to microsteer the car more than on previous German cars I've owned which all seemed really well planted at speed.

So the question is, can anyone in the know, so to speak, recommend alignment settings that will improve higher speed cruising stability? Maybe to the edge of, or slightly outside of, the standard recommended setting range?

When the alignment was wrong, your tires may have worn improperly. This could cause the car to feel too twitchy and light feeling, as your tires are not worn evenly. It is possible for your tires to reseat and flatten to the correct alignment, but it will take time. Meanwhile, your car may feel unstable and not firmly planted.
