Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Overall, the price was what won me over and I used this as an opportunity to route & hide cables under my dashboard. Regardless of which item you purchase, I highly recommend getting the swiveling screen upgrade if you hate reaching for the monitor or you want the driver seat more centralizedthat looks so nice i preordered the 2021+ model 3 one. I really want something like this but the existing kits with a shroud made of leather are just meh.
how much does it lower the screen?Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. Overall, the price was what won me over and I used this as an opportunity to route & hide cables under my dashboard. Approximately 1.5 - 2", it also tilts the screen upwards but I'm not sure about that anglehow much does it lower the screen?
The lid will make contact with the bottom of the mount cover, not enough to force the lid close though:Does it interfere with the lid/cover over the phone when its open and the screen is tilted? Thanks for the pictures.
does the screen hit the corners of the lid? or it just touches the bottom bracket?The lid will make contact with the bottom of the mount cover, not enough to force the lid close though:

@atl_joe
I’ve got an IPhone X. Can you see your whole phone (I.e. top of phone) while sitting in the drivers seat or is it partially blocked in the charger with the aforementioned 1.5-2” lowering of the screen? Photo of Phone in cradle from drivers perspective? With screen swiveled left, right, straight? Thanks!

Appreciate the follow up! Thank You!I have an iPhone 12 so I think our situation is comparable. Depending on your height, the top of the phone may be slightly covered by the bottom of the monitor but you'll have most of the vision of the screen:

Sorry for the close up, I only have one lens for my camera. I have a phone dock to the left of my steering wheel so I can't comment on the experience of using the phone when it's on the wireless charger (I only have it installed for passengers)
I'm sorry for the delayed response@atl_joe For the tiny gap - did you have a solution that worked for you to get it flush? I have an email out to the supplier as well to see if they have any suggestions.
I'm wondering if a small amount of this would hold it flush: Amazon.com: 3M VHB Tape 4646, 1/8" x 5 yards, 1 roll: Industrial & Scientific
(or any similar type product - maybe 1/4" version)
IMO, this is without a doubt, one of the best mods for the Model 3. I'll get one of these at some point. Makes you wonder why Tesla had never implemented a swivel.
