Hi gang - bought an inventory car last week located in NC, which was to be transported up to PA. Was communicated that they'll attempt to have car ready for pickup by 9/30. Got a call from Tesla HQ on Tuesday to schedule pick-up for 9/30 at 12:00PM. Emailed my local service center guy to confirm, at which point he called me to let me know that they haven't received the car yet, and to not expect delivery/pick-up until next week.

Not sure if anyone else has experienced this before? Seems like they are communicating this as their logistics partner not being able to get the car to move from NC up to PA. Still hoping I get a call back with a change of plans. Not too bummed however since I realize I'll be getting the car WAY quicker than most Tesla owners who've had to wait months/years for theirs.

I wish they would delay my delivery as I am leaving town on Friday. I test drove the model S on Monday with no plans on buying anything. I was convinced otherwise with the discount and placed my deposit. I am scheduled to pick up the car today. My buddy who came along was also persuaded to buy a Model S too. We insisted the cars be delivered at the same time.

Got the same thing yesterday. Bought an inventory car on 9/17 in Chicago. The car is/was located in Georgia. Was expecting delivery today so I called my ds to make arrangements but to my surprise was told the car isn't even here in Chicago yet. Not even sure if it left Georgia to be honest. Now I'm being told it should be here next week. Not sure what to make of all this except that they won't make this delivery this quarter and we know that was the goal behind all the discounts and so on.

This happened to me when I ordered by Model S and I called the dealership and had them give me a loaner until my car came in. I told them that they entered into a contract with me for the expectation that my car would be delivered in 6-8 weeks from the beginning of production and were telling me that it was going to be more like 10-12 weeks. They gave me the loaner and I was a happy customer.

Ordered S90D on 9/25/16 with an expected delivery of "late October to early November". A Delivery Specialist contacted me on 10/7/16 with the message: "will begin production in Late November which would mean a delivery date approximately 2-3 weeks after production begins." No indications prior to this that there would be any change in schedule. Seems like something must be going on to slip 5-6 weeks in such a short span between ordering and being contacted by delivery. Mostly irked that they haven't met my expectations. I would have preferred them letting me know at order time a "real" estimate, but given Tesla history of delays can't say I'm terribly surprised. Regardless, I am eagerly awaiting my new car!
