Anyone Ever Wrongfully Towed?

Just curious if anyone has been subject to their car being towed against their will and if it caused any damage due to the tow company’s negligence. I would assume that not all drivers know/understand the nuances of towing a Tesla and how much harm it could do if not done properly.

Towing any car incorrectly can damage it and wrecker drivers are not trained in each model. It is "best practices"

Yeah but I guess that goes without saying. I’m just more curious about exactly what type of damage and what the aftermath would be if a Model 3 was towed. Maybe no one has been unfortunate enough to have that happen yet.

Seome found damage under their theee a while back that they thought might have been from being picked up by a wrecker and put back down when they realized wrong car. I think it was cosmetic damage to the bottom of the car.

You understand the average ICE jas fuel and brake lines running underneath it? All cars have a lot of stuff that can be damaged underneath.

I’m curious about the drive train/motor damage due to wheels spinning while being improperly towed (not on a flat bed or dolly).

This is a good question. I guess I figured that towers have some kind of database they can check to see how to tow each car they come into contact with. I’d be *pissed* if someone wrecked my car from towing negligence.
