I am supposed to take delivery this weekend but delayed when I saw Model 3 buyers saying they are getting two years of free supercharger and upgrades. There is really just one article suggesting this is real. Please reply if you took delivery and getting these things. Without physical proof this is just a rumor.

I had ordered a white with black interior.I then read about the offer yesterday so I called my SA and asked him what I can do. He mentioned he wouldn't be able to change it to a inventory vehicle as those were a different color (I called about a red/white combo because of "free" takes precedent over the actual color I want lol). An hour later a white/white came in inventory and he said he could match me to that if I wanted. Not a big fan of white interior but its a free upgrade so I took it. I did ask about the free two year supercharger and he said he'll speak to his manager. Called me back an hour later and said he could do it and that he'll update it in my profile.
Checked my order this morning and saw the white interior upgrade with the a "1000 referral" credit to offset the upgrade cost.

We are scheduled for delivery on Monday, (LR AWD blue/black 18) and I was able to get the sales advisor to add free 2yr SC today when I contacted her with the offer. She had to request this for corporate approval, so I’m still waiting for confirmation. Did not score any free upgrades, though the only one I wanted was credit for the blue color, so that still cost me 1k. They sales office told me you can have either 2 free upgrades or free SC, but not both.

I almost took delivery earlier this week, and I am very happy we had to delay to Monday. Patience pays off this time!

Just got home from test driving a Model 3 in Fremont factory. Placed my order for LR model. Advised that I would get 2000 super charger miles.

Also, as a special... I got the color upgrade to Blue AND 19" wheels for free. (All color upgrade options were offered to me for free as I was only going with the white before)

I texted with my SA in SoCal who said he couldn't add the 2 years of supercharging to my pending order (ordered on 9/4, no VIN yet) but that if he finds an inventory car with features that I'd like (i.e. 19" wheels instead of Aero), he could match me to that car for no additional cost. So far so good. I told him about the many folks on the forums who were able to get 2 years of supercharging added to their accounts despite ordering before 9/10 and he said that its probable that Tesla would remove the 2 yrs of supercharging once the "error" is caught. Not sure what to make of it, but only time will tell I guess. :cool:

I would like to share my story from Toronto Canada and I am actually really upset about how it turns out:

I was told the following:
1. This upgrade thing is real;
2. To be qualified, order has to be submitted before sept 10th;
3. No vin has been assigned yet.
4. This is North America wide. Not different between stores.

In my case, I received my vin like last night so I failed 3 above. If I cancel my order, I failed 2 above. So nothing can be done. Not even the 2yr FSC.

Anyone experienced differently from what I was told plz? Thx

I believe it‘s hit-or-miss... or completely up to the local mgmt on if they‘ll add it. I requested it when I picked up my P3D earlier today and the delivery rep said it _only_ applied to inventory vehicles. I did reach out to my sales rep to see if he can do it, but I don‘t have any expectation that they‘ll do it.

Aside from that, delivery was straight-forward and there weren‘t any issues — take that back — the Frunk gap on one side is a touch big compared to the other side, but that‘s it... and to 99% of people who look at it wont even notice.... and it‘s a lease, so in 36 mos, it‘s theirs.

It‘s a fantastic automobile..... a departure from the rumble of my ///M3, DCT, etc... but it rides like it‘s on rails, acceleration is unbelievable and road noise is minimal — even with the sound system off.

Cheers!!

I took delivery earlier today and this was my experience with the sales upgrade push -- we ended up speaking to the delivery manager at Fremont and she said the law of the Auditors was that they would be able to apply either 2 years of free supercharging OR the free upgrades (2 of the three) assuming you were taking delivery of an inventory car. I was very fortunate to have taken the latter option, so I was able to knock $2,000 off of my sticker plus get my 2,000 mile referral bonus, so overall I am very happy.

For reference, the equivalent of the 2 years of supercharging is about $300, so the upgrades were definitely the way to go.

Thanks for sharing everyone. It looks like my sales agent is pushing this up to corporate to see what can be done to get 2 years of SC. He still maintains the upgrades and SC is all rumor... that's gotten out of control. Clearly though there is some flexibility here as multiple people are reporting some success. And I imagine buyers may see more flexibility as the end of the month approaches. Tempted to not take delivery... and buy an upgraded inventory car. We'll see what shakes out this week.

if you tell'em you'll not take delivery, you'll get the "rumor" deal

I am in Vancouver Canada. There was a lot of inventory on hand and I called the local Tesla dealer and ordered the car yesterday. I used a referral code and was verbally told by sales rep I would get 2 years free Supercharging but it never showed up on invoice. I repeatedly asked about the internet rumors about bonuses and was given a $1000 referral credit. I am in the province of BC and Tesla’s website says BC residents don’t qualify for any referral bonuses.

I also feel a bit screwed because Tesla’s website is glitchy and inaccurate. When I checked my M3 long range awd 18” aero wheels it had a $3000 ev rebate but when the sales rep walked me through the purchasing steps the discount was gone and I was told the model I bought shouldn’t have qualified for the rebate.

Also I asked if autopilot could be removed but I was told no. But my friend removed his autopilot and saved $5,000 from this feature removal.

I did get the car in my possession in under 24 hours and it is a nice car. After taxes and $3,000 insurance it came out to $79,000.

I was able to talk to my delivery specialist today and she said they have put a case for this to be added to my account. She said she will be able to confirm as soon as it is approved. Hopefully I get approval before picking up the car this Friday. Knowing how giddy I will be to drive it all weekend and not having a high speed outlet yet a free supercharge will come in handy. I ordered my car Aug 20 and got the VIN Sept 11th.

First time poster, recent M3 LR purchased. I ordered and accepted an inventory one about a month ago. Has anyone tried getting grandfathered in to anything like this before? It’s soooo crappy to miss the cutoff by such a short amount of time! If I knew I could get free SC I definitely would have waited it out. Should I call my delivery center rep? Or the sales associate who helped me place the order? My delivery appointment was garbage and a bad start to ownership.

The best advice I can give you is this: let it go.

2y free SC actually does not worth that much (~a few hundred bucks at most) for most people.

It probably means more to me because I’m actually still an apartment renter... I bought the car with an understanding from my landlord about how we’d bill the external wall outlet... turns out the outlet is hooked up to a neighbor’s meter and now I can only charge it from 12-6AM (we were all shocked on that one) which gives me 26-30 miles per night. Not ideal anymore :( so the free SC would really help me out!

Yesterday I put a deposit on a Model 3 with the free upgrades (paint and rims). My advisor just got back to me and said they received clarification the free upgrades are only for those who already had orders in but were waiting on delivery, and the upgrades are a way to get them a car quicker. He did mention 2 years of free supercharging is available though.
