Anyone got charged by Tesla Supercharger Idle Fee?

It's been almost 2 weeks since Tesla announced supercharger idle fee, anyone got charged with the fee?

I'm told by the local Tesla store that the fee will not start until 1 January.

Though in the new Firmware , where it now lists in the NAV screen the amenties in the area of your needed SuperCharger the following:

Lodging
Food
WiFi
$.40/minute idle fee

I thought the tweet was a little more ambiguous. Something like "Only if it is mostly full" or words to that effect. Though he never said what "mostly" meant. More than half? 8 out of 10? Who knows???

From the Tesla blog post: ..."Do idle fees apply if there are Supercharger spots still available?
Idle fees apply to any car occupying a Supercharger if the station is at least 50% full once the charge session is complete.

Is the "50% full" part new? I don't remember reading that when the news first came out.

Fortunately the supercharger I use the most is only a 3 minute quick walk from where I have dinner.

To be honest it shouldn't even be a question. Once your car changed yes it should be moved out of consideration. I've been to superchargers that were empty when I got there and by the time I was completed charging there were cars waiting, there should really just be basic etiquette. Its quite sad its come to charging people to try to get them to move their car so others can charge.

Totally agree. I can't think of why it should be ok to park there indefinitely or overnight.

If you park and charge at midnight in an empty lot and come 7am it's 100% full, does your plenalty just start during the over 60% time and then go back to zero the rest of the day?

Some people are only going to learn etiquette when forced. Make it easy, all stations, all times.

What new firmware? I have received nothing since the end of September.

Just have the car eject the charge cable and self drive the car out of the way for the next person. An entirely new meaning to, where did I park the car?
