Anyone have any idea what this Model X is?

I saw this Model X parked yesterday at the San Antonio Service Center. It has barcodes over some of the wheels with " Acuna Proving Grounds", velcro patches over some of the other wheel arches, and one of the ugliest front grills. Inside looked stock from what I could see. Anyone seen anything like it, or ideas what it is?

looks like a test mule for tires. velcro was probably for sensors. grille was probably to save the car from animals.
