I had to google this. I see it records several different driving metrics. Besides that you're being watched, does it reward safe drivers with lower insurance cost?I just put it at the top of the windshield to the right of the mirror. View attachment 916351
I guess I stand corrected 🤷♂️I have been offered that option with State Farm....
I'll pay a little extra not to have another "Big Brother" watching what I do.
Cost savings maybe $30~40 (correct me if I'm wrong) every 6 months --- NO THANKS!
Put it anywhere you like - it only needs Bluetooth connection to your phone. Mine is in the armrest, it doesn’t need to be put on the windshield.
It is a full “big brother” option that requires GPS to be always allowed on the phone for Drive Safe and Save app. Phone App is required for this beacon to work. It saves me $130 and $190 for 2 cars every 6 months.

That means less miles so your premium, based on mileage should go down. Don't fix it.I have it in my MYP. It seems to have problems accurately recording my trips. Most of the time I get only one half of a round trip or no trip recorded. State Farm tech support hasn't been of any help solving the problem.
Thanks for the advice. I'll see if it works when I get the next statement. That means less miles so your premium, based on mileage should go down. Don't fix it.
Don’t they request your mileage every 6 months? That means less miles so your premium, based on mileage should go down. Don't fix it.
