Anyone not like the Tesla 22" wheels after getting them?

I went from the factory 20" wheels to the factory 22" wheels but chose different tires than come from the factory and I honestly did not notice a difference in ride quality. One difference may have been when my Model X was delivered, the tires were all aired up to 50psi. When I put the 22" wheels on, I aired up to 42psi which IIRC is recommended air pressure. I also have the air suspension, so that may absorb more of the bumps as well.

I had just over 5,000 miles on OEM 20'' and the average wh/mi was 372, mostly highway. Now with OEM 22'' Pirelli's the wh/mi is hovering around 405-415.

I took the time to compare rim and tires weights this week between 20'' and 22'' and it's an additional 62.2 lbs overall. Front 20's are surprisingly only 62.6 lbs each and rears are 63.8 lbs each. The OEM front 22's are 73.5 lbs and rear 84 lbs each.

The ride quality is almost as good as the 20's but the road noise is noticeably louder. So loud that talking via bluetooth is difficult. Where the 22's outshine the 20's is in looks. It really makes a huge difference.

Have you considered the OEM Forged 21" wheels ... the best of both worlds with low weight/noise plus good looks

While I love the arachnids and have a set myself for sale, the arachnids dont work on the Model X. they are solely for Model S vehicles. Many have confirmed this with service centers.

We have several Model S's and Model X's in our extended family and have asked about putting a set on a Model X and was told no.

Did they give you a reason they wouldn't put them on an X?

This is incorrect information from the Service Centers...unfortunately not a rare occurrence

It was never an issue of it fitting or not. Apparently, it's the load rating. Don't quote me, I'm just telling you what they ended up telling me. Though no one has been able to confirm or figure out the actual load rating.

It's possible Tesla just tells the SC to tell us that, but I doubt they'd hide that.

Correct. I was told the load rating isn't approved for that of a model X.

Fitment from sizing perspective is fine. @HankLloydRight i recall was also told the same thing

The forged Arachnids have a higher load rating than the cast Turbine wheels ... more FUD from the service centers
Cast wheels are rarely used at the track as forged wheels will take far more abuse and extreme loading during cornering.
