Anyone receive a car with textile interior yet?

Test drove one with textile last week and thought it was very nice. I'm planning on going with it in mine. Most of the seat is trimmed in "pleather" and the textured fabric part is in the center of the seat. I wasn't paying close attention when I sat in the car and thought it was leather at first. My $0.02 from 30 minutes of driving.

Sounds like the synthetic leather is fairly obviously not real leather. Anyone else want to weigh in on this?

Anyone have 'real' photos to share?

Is it true that all cars delivered in 2013 will have 12was adjustable/heated seats ? <--is this retroactive to orders placed prior to price increase?? (I have read a lot on this forum, but dont know there is a clear answer... just that they will be standard on all trims.)

Cars with the price increase will get the upgrades but they will not come retroactive. If you want the adjustable heated seats you have to pick leather.

It's not very obvious that it's fake, and the textile is very sporty, not at all like the cloth in an econobox. I was all set to get the textile but I really wanted seat memory. I still feel that memory belongs with the tech package. Vegans deserve seat memory too! (I'm not vegan, but just sayin')

Those with textile, the pouch on the front of the driver's seat is there? I forget if that was officially confirmed by anyone...

Should get mine in a couple weeks...
Confirmed by personal email with a textile owner: no "kangaroo" pouch on front seats with textile.

Confirmed by phone conversation last week with Tesla configuration specialist: Those who reserved before Jan 1 receive 8 way adjustable seats with textile interior (not 12-way adjustable seats), and they do not get heated seats or driver profile memory.

After carefully reconsidering this information, upon my request Tesla graciously allowed me to revise my order from textile to leather. My rationale is that storage space is so limited that the kangaroo pouch has significant value as does adjustable lumbar support and to a lesser degree for me, driver profiles. Were all things equal, however, I would definitely prefer textile.

I knew the heated+12way textile seats were only if you wanted to take the price increase, AND wait -- so I didn't pursue that.
I thought someone had reported the kangaroo pouch was going to be added to the textile, maybe only in the new seats. Too bad, had plans for that

I want textile WITH heat.. but not for the overall price increase. I guess leather is the only option to get seat heat... if I am going to pay more $ might as well get leather ($1500 leather upgrade vs $2500 new car price increase)...

Black textile seats. No one would feel these & think: leather. However, they are very nice, somewhat finer therefore less robust than my '12 Forester. But the cattle dog has yet to rip or mark either vehicle yet. Mine are heated and screen shows the temp controls for each seat. They remain paired automatically because I've yet to find the switch to 'unpair'. Does a cattledog desire a heated seat?

Don't know about any pouch. Don't know about adjusting it since it was set at the Tesla Shop & is ok. I think they said the pass seat settings are not retained, only the driver's. Two positions can be chosen for the driver's seat. No tech pkg.

The heated seats aren't linked. The temperatures are synced; when you change temperatures on the touchscreen, there's a blue button that pops up alongside the temperature indicator that says something like "Sync Temp". Touch that to break/make the link.

How did you get heated textile seats? As far as I know heated seats are not an option, just leather or textile, and the leather comes with heated seats. I have the textile and they are not heated.. or at least I do not have the icons on the screen.

On the 2013 cars, all seats are heated 12-way adjustable.
When communicating with the Tesla configuration folks a couple weeks ago they reiterated that cars reserved before Jan 1 with textile seats would be 8 way adjustable, non-heated, non-profile memory even though built in 2013. Cars reserved after Jan 1 would be 12 way adjustable, heated, profile memory. It's when the car was reserved, not when it is built according to their information.

Can't wait to see the pics! I did see the textile interior last week on timdorr's model S at the EV Club of South meeting at Manuels Tavern in Atlanta. I thought it was quite awesome and luxurious for the "cheap" option :) Didn't seem like cloth at all, more like a woven polyester or something, with quite a bit of leather accents on the sides...

No pouch.

I will take pictures. Any requests?

After 2000 miles, the seats are great. No way I would get leather. Just not my style.

I hope this thread is not considered too old. But since I am starved for pictures and some firsthand experience of the textile interior, I am taking a chance. Also - you did promise pictures, goalie :)
Could you post some and perhaps give further input on what you think after having the car for some weeks? Pictures of the rearseats as well would be great.
Some say that the vinyl part of the interior may be more prone to wear compared to leather. Some say the opposite. Any indications of either?

First post. Great forum :D Cheers.
