Tesla’s website delivery estimate is a best case scenario for them, inventory build matches your order versus actually building from scratch. My estimate when I ordered on March 19 was for March and here we are in May 21.

So if you reorder, I doubt the May estimate will hold true.

So now my Model X ordered is $5,000.00 more expensive and I’m really hoping it’s the refreshed model. That would be painful if it’s not refreshed and I’m paying 5k more.

Thanks for the heads up on the $2000 price drop. Hoping that updating the design (with same exact config) doesn't delay delivery even more...

Per the Specialist I'm working with, if you haven't taken delivery you will receive the updated pricing. I'm interested to hear what messaging everyone receives as well.

I just did the same thing. I mentioned that I have no VIN# and MYTesla indicates that I my documents are still being drafted. It would make no sense to cancel and immediately reorder.

My price just dropped! Including the down payment due amount!

I would like to confirm that in MyTesla I was prompted to check and resubmit the new order details.
I have no idea if it was automatic or if it was a result of my emailing my sales advisor (I personally think the former).
My original order was May 10th with an approved loan through Tesla but no assigned VIN yet.
Good luck to everyone who has already placed an order.

Is the consensus that anyone who ordered before the "raven" announcement, who didn't cancel and reorder, is getting the older design motor and suspension?

I just spoke with customer service, was informed that non-VIN-assigned orders will have their price updated to the new lower price.
As well, he placed a note on my file of the updated price.

Interesting that Tesla making their car better and less expensive would generate so many negative comments.

side note: VIN# Federal Register :: Vehicle Identification Number Requirements
Numbers are pre-registered in batches before vehicles are made. So NOT sequential at all.

Today I drove a Model S Performance, non ludicrous Raven. VIN 311xxx. Only difference was the suspension options, standard or sport. The sport setting was firm but not harsh. I really didn’t feel or see and other differences. Didn’t get a chance to test efficiency.

They aren't really registered, the NHTSA site is a pass through portal to the OEM's database. So Tesla adds a bunch of VINs to their internal system and then they show up.

Congratulations on your new car with Raven refresh!
May I know what the option codes of your new model X? Especially for the drive unit DU and suspension SU, are they DU03 and SU03? Thanks a lot.

Good to know. I thought they brought them to the S for a while but they aren't there anymore. Wasn't sure if it was the same for the X.

They brought them to the S around December 2016.

Are you saying that the newer Raven Model S does not have adjustable headrests?
