whatever it is.... safe bet you will not figure it out till about a week after you toss it.
I've had that happen more times than I can count....and I've also saved things like that and forgotten I had them, then found then place for it and go looking unsuccessfully for the missing screw...... then years later long after I no longer need it find the screw again and realize....
