Anyone still with Software version 2018.28.1 7d0461c?

I have a 2018 July Model X and my current version of software still comes up as the 2018.28.1 7d0461c. Is my car running a much older version of the software? I know the V9 is still not out for most of us but I'm not sure if this is the version before the V9.

Yes that is very old. I would contact Tesla and ask them to push an update, or just go to a Service Center if convenient.

I am on the same, 28.1...I called as I have never had an update at my residence. Only when I took my X in for service and when I charged at the the service center. I knew something wasn’t right and after a few calls I learned Tesla still thinks my car is non delivered. This means I do not get updates at my house. The service center is still working it out, a delivery specialist manager has to change the status. You definitely need to call Tesla.

Thank you for the response. I tried calling Tesla a few times but every time the automated response says that my wait time is over 50 minutes. I think I'll have to visit my SC soon.

I recommend trying to reset your car from the MCU. Maybe that works?

I got 28.1 since my new car was delivered 2 weeks ago. Going to the SC to see what they can do as well as fixing some other issues tomorrow.

Btw, I see that your 2 week old MX is "uncorked". Did you get it done at the time of delivery? Or did you have it built that way? And is there any extra cost associated with it? I'm seeing this mentioned for the first time on the forum so I'm curious. Thanks!

I think all the 2018 MXs are uncorked by default. If not, you can ask them nicely. Goodwill!

I had the same problem at delivery I ended up shutting down the car via settings and waiting a few minutes before starting it up again. 2018.34.1 showed up like 30 minutes later.

Ok... just wanted to give an update. Went to my local SC this evening just before closing time and we were pleasantly surprised at how well we were treated regardless of the late hour. Had a technician come out and look at the car and answer a couple of questions pertaining to our specific vehicle and then asked about the software update. He agreed that the version on our vehicle was quite old and that he'd initiate a version more closer to version 9(but that he can't actually push version 9 itself).
Got back home and got notified of a software update with in the half hour and updated immediately. Surprise!! It's the version 9!! I'm so thrilled to finally get it. It's super cool!! I love it so far.
